The aims of the Trade Union Liaison Officer are to:

• Act as liaison between local trade union branches and the CLP
• Ensure that the priorities of the constituency reflect the views and concerns of trade unionists
• Encourage trade union members to join the party, and play a full and active part in the party’s activities
• Encourage CLP members to join in trade union campaigns.
